Flexplate Problem
Need help knowing if anyone else has had their flexplate sheer completely around the bolts. This is the second time it has happen(50K and 67K mileage). Ford and the dealership are not willing to investigate it further [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img] (no surprises there).
Called a company in Arkansa that builds automatic transmissions for high output/racing. He said that the only reason for the flexplate to break is that is not running true and is being stressed and wobbling (dowels to short, bolts or spacer is bad, etc).
