Foil Delete Question

Ok, probably a stupid question or two....but never be afraid to ask.

I have a 02 7.3L and was thinking about doing the foil delete that I've seen mentioned a couple times....
Is there any down sides to doing it (I'm looking for the whistle) / will it change anything from normal operation?

I've been racking it around in my head for a couple days and can't think of anything that would happen, but figured to be safe to ask the good people of dieselstop.com

Thanks in advance

Absolutely zero operational changes good or bad will occur with the foil delete, your only gain will be a little bit louder turbo whistle.

It is when you take the insulation off of the driver's side IC tube . It is kind of a PITA to get the insulation off.
