FTVB compatibility with DiabloSport tuner?

I am wondering about potential issues if I have one of the Factory Tech Valve Bodies installed and continue to use settings from my Diablosport Predator programmer. I am not technical enough to fathom the caution by Gregg Evans on the Dieselsite website.

I sure wouldn't want to give up the increased power of the Predator. Can I use one of the Predator settings without worry or is it possible to go in and modify the Predator settings to prevent any damage to the FTVB or tranny components?

BTW, what is involved in installing the FTVB? Must you drop the tranny?

2000 PSD with a Magnaflow and a K&N and the Predator; that's it!

Can't you take the tranny programming out with the Predator? You should be good to use the FTVB that way.Should be a straightforward install.Remove the pan and the filter and unbolt the valvebody. There is an inch-pound torque spec for the VB which I can't remember.Should certainly be in your instructions.

Re: FTVB compatibility with DiabloSport tuner?

It should be 80 lb/in for the VB bolt torques. When you do the install be prepared because its going to be very messy. On your Predator you should be able to set it to use no trans tuning. Simply turn off the trans tune and you're fine.
