99 & up 7.3L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 99 & up 7.3L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 1999-Up Super Duty trucks and Excursions. Do I have a fuel filter on frame rail besides 1 on on engine?

A 7.3 only has one fuel filter. I suggest you only buy Motorcraft or Racor. Anything else is a copy.

nothing crazy, it carries alot of weight, it tows alot.. has all the 'usual' upgrades plus some..

she breaths well, has extra air and fuel

I use Wix filters all the way around on my truck.

Last time I looked at a Wix or NAPA fuel filter for my 7.3, it did not have the exterior filter media that Racor PFF4596 or Motorcraft FD4596 did. The NAPA Gold 3518 may have it too.

No filter (oil or fuel) I've researched shows better performance specs than the OEM filters from Motorcraft and Racor.
