unfortunately your prob gonna have to(unless you have a good spare key laying around)
who cut the new key?and i wonder why you needed a new key cut?lost key?stolen recovery?bad key cylinder?
i worked for a chevy dealer for awhile we cut keys from codes all the time, but,we always checked them before the customer left.

a little more info on your EXACT problem would help

ok...so your ignition cylinder is not turning correct?or is is turning and the starter is not turning the motor over?

im sure ford has the same system that chevy uses, they can cut keys from your vin(assuming the cylinder hasnt been changed).call ford and see what they need to do that, chevy required id and registration.(to ensure the key was for your vehicle)

Ok in case this happens to someone else thats reading this. Dont listen to Ford just let the truck sit for an hour or 2 and it will pop back out of safe mode on its own.
