HPOP questions, with pics and leaks.

This is for my 2003 X, with 200k on it. Just picked it up.
Truck runs 100% perfect(except for the leaks)
Fixed the HPOP line fittings, and Plug that were leaking. Then still filling the valley with oil. Found the new leak.
Dripping off the bottom of the pump were it meets the front cover. So the best I can guess is the pump gasket and/or/is the “no” service plug is the leak.

So I am debating on replacing the pump vs. new gasket and resealing the “no” service plug. And wanted to get some expert opinions which way to go?

Also a couple of questions:
Is there any way to tell if you have a remanufactured pump?
Expected life of a pump?
How common are leaks at the mounting gasket(the gasket looks to be in great shape)?
Also is the casting line normal?
Pump pics and mounting surface pics below

Note to anyone who needs too take out the pump, it was much easier than I thought, about 2 hrs.
Thanks, Griff

The HPOP does not fail very often. The leak could be from the gasket or the non-serviceable plug. Since you have it out you will obviously replace the gasket. Might not hurt to repair the plug while you are there for good measure. Or get a new pump. You might look into an upgraded one like the Adrenaline HPOP by DieselSite Looks like the raised their price on it though!

Couldn't tell it was just dripping off the lowest point ton the pump housing. It has to be one or the other, so i'm fixing both.

Should get to taday. Will have some pics.
