Injector control module?

Greetings all,
I have been told by the stealer,I mean dealer, that my ICM is bad. The truck has the symtoms of a bad CPM by reading the posts here. Have any of you experienced this problem? Thanks in advance for responding.
I have a 2000 F-250 , 7.3 PSD, 6 speed handshacker, totally stock except for a EGT gauge.

Welcome to The Diesel Stop, the best source of information on PowerStroke Diesels on the web. By bad CPM do you mean the PCM ie computer or possibly CPS, cam position sensor?? What were the symptoms your truck was displaying?

I meant a bad cam position sensor. The truck rangood and all of a sudden cut off. I restarted it with no problems and drove another mile or two, it stopped again. I restarted again and drove it another 15 miles or so till I got to the dealership. It ran fine, made me feel silly! Anyway, they put it on the diagnostic machine and came back with the "injector control module" was bad. They had to order it, so I should get it tomorrow.

Well it is a pricey item and they would not replace without the codes. Hope you are still covered under the engine warranty. The ICM is covered under the 5 year /100K mile warranty. But if I were you I would go to www.powerstrokeshop.com and order a replacement cps ASAP. They have them for about $80. Put it in your glove or tool box and make sure you carry a 10 mm deep socket with short extension and the wrench. If you do a search you can find a guy that will ship it to you for $60.
