I'd like to monitor trans and egt temps when towing which is not all that often but want to keep my truck alive forever. Just don't know how obsessed one needs to get about watching every every needle, every minute. The Interceptor looks pretty slick and an easy install but wonder how it works in reality with a stock '02 PSD. The Isspro three gauge setup sure looks cool but more dollars. Thanks for any feedback.
The Interceptor will work perfectly, but there are some caveats. With the ISSPRO, you are getting a "second opinion" on these values that are measured by the PCM. For example, the Interceptor will report what the internal transmission sensor is reporting to the PCM. The ISSPRO gauge has its own sensor. Same thing with boost. So - if you are having a problem with the truck, and your scanner says the PCM thinks the boost is zero, but your gauge says 20, you know you've got a bad MAP sensor or ruptured hose.
Even with that, redundancy may not be worth it to you. The other benefit is the ISSPRO gauges are usually mounted eye level and are very easy to watch everything, whereas the Interceptor is going to be showing you one value at a time and since its a single, usually gets mounted in an out of the way location.
I run 6 physical gauges, and watch another 4 parameters on my ScanGauge. That gives me a little time to watch the road while I'm driving.

Re: Isspro full set or all in one Interceptor Gauge?
I have the interceptor mounted on the steering column and it monitors 2 inputs at a time. You would also need to get the voltage linearizer and probe to monitor egts. It can also pull/clear codes, run contribution and injector buzz test.
I always keep EGTs pulled up and the boost and trans temp can easily be switched too and not as critical to keep an eye on every second...unless your pulling up hill, then leave up the trans temp. I bought my dad one for Christmas and he loves it. I had the glow shift gauges on the pillar and it made a big of a blind spot and the pillar is a tight fit and scratched my dash up.

Very good point about the gauges not pulling through the PCM. The logic of the "second" opinion will likely sway me towards a 3 gauge setup. Thinking trans, boost and EGT. I've already got the parts to do the bellowed up pipes so I may as well drill and tap the exhaust header and suck any shavings out when I have it opened up.
