7.3L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 7.3L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 1999-Up Super Duty trucks and Excursions. No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. Please confine discussion of topics in this forum to those items that are specific to the 7.3L Power Stroke engine.

Talking Max Boost For a 7.3 ????
Just wondering what kinda Boost you guys are making...??? 29 lbs is the most I've ever seen.....thanks.

i only hit 22lbs but i have a weak tranny and the TC just slips when i try to load it up, so i don't push it to hard, but i will have a BTS in a few months, i can't wait

31 - 32 on my truck, but thats really pressing the issue on a stock turbo.

31-32 i push with a banks turbo

28 is my max but I watch it on hills and keep it under 25.

I usually get 28 sometimes 30psi if I hold it.

turbo pressure
a stock 7.3 should be about 15# boost if you go to a smaller houseing you could see 23-25#

27 lbs of boost on the stock, but the turbo surge is bad!

Turbo builds too much boost and my wastegate keeps fluttering to try and keep it in check. Really i am building boost too fast for it to keep up....
