I guess it would depend on the company rebuilding them. Lots of options out there for you to choose from. Pick a reputable dealer/shop that has a been around for awhile. Don't just go for the cheapest price either, I know it's tough when shelling out that much, but we all know we get what we pay for.
I see Pensacola Diesel has a package for $989 that has everything: "You are purchasing a kit of 8 remanufactured powerstroke injectors (complete with O-ring installation kit), valve cover gaskets, harnesses, and glowplugs. This is everything you need to do the complete job under the valve covers!"
woods.. pensacola is local to me.. do you feel pretty good about their rebuilt injectors?? please read my "please help stuck out of town" post and see if you think its injectors.. im kinda stumped.. thanks
I have never dealt with them but they have a good warranty and it looks like they have been around for 15 years. So I would think they are pretty good. I have not heard anything bad about them so far.
I have been following the other post since the start. You have went through a lot of stuff that is for sure. If it were me I would make sure it is the injectors before ordering a set. Your issues tend to lead towards injector problems or something similar to that. I will have to re-read the posts as there has to be something like 5 pages now.

woods..thanks, my wife is all over me to get it fixed... she dont understand the $ i spent on AE ... said" i thought that would tell us exactly what is wrong"... i replied "it did, sorta "
Just remind her how much it would cost for a shop to do this work! I know it won't change her mind, because my wife is the same way. It takes a decent amount of tools to maintain any vehicle. With AE you will find it will pay for itself if itcalready hasn't. Plus throwing parts at it would have been way more expensive......like the fuel pump in the begining. Even shops miss on their diagnosis from time to time.

I always try to put in terms they understand. "It was 30% off dear!" or the AE is $400 but the NGS Tester I wanted is $3500 so I am saving lots of money this way!

If you got a few days to kill, I would send them to Jim at DIY, explain your situation and send them so he can get on it quickly.
I had trouble when rebuilding one of the 8 injectors, the clearance would check out fine but the injector was smack wore out anyhow, so I couldnt tell it was bad on the bench, after pulling the valve cover off and running the engine, it was easy to identify which injector was shooting a stream of oil onto my fenderwell!!! Sent it off to him and it was only $100, even though all he had to do was machine down the poppet(or whatever it is in there that needs machining) and I had already rebuilt the unit, but it shouldnt be much more is my guess for a stock injector like yours. Good luck!!
