I have firestones now..

I really would like to be around $500 but I understand that might not be possible.

Re: New Tires?? need advice??

Rudy,

I had to replace my Firestones after 50,000 miles after a bolt went into one of the tires. I read around on the Internet and ended up buying Pirelli Scropian STRs. They where cheaper by a few dollars than Michilans and they had as good as or better numbers. I only have a roughtly 5,000 miles on the new tires but I like them. They handle much better than than the Streeltex tires. Its almost like driving a car. There is one curve I drive through everyday. With the old tires I could not go through the turn at 55 mph. The Pirelli's handle the curve at 55 no problem.

Time will tell on how well the tires last.

Later,
Dan

Re: New Tires?? need advice??

I almost have 70K on my Michelins. For going the distance, I've had good luck with them.
