Question newbe needs help

02 7.3 bought new runs great, but only when cruise control is set, when not using cruise control there is a miss only between 50 and 65 mph.Higer or lower speed is good.I use the word miss but rpm or speed stays the same, but you feel the hesitation==hit the cruise control and everthing is perfect ==Thank you for any info==I have had this truck over 10 years 120,000 miles and no big time problems==need help==

May be a throttle position sensor. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to change out.
