no backtorque on transmission when decelerating?

If I let off the gas in my superduty, It has no backtorque. The rpms drop down to idle range, and I coast. I can downshift it into 2nd at 60 and it still just coasts-I have a fairly good idea of what it is. Im curious to here what everyone else says prior to me stating my beliefs.

My belief is that your coast clutch snap ring has come out of it's groove and the coast clutch is no longer working.

I too believe its the coast clutches, failing not because of an engineering problem, but rather that they have reached the extent of their usefullness.

just another potentially helpful piece of information

its a 2001

its got 287k miles on it.

I use it far outside of normal operating conditions, and thus far have had absolutely NO problems with it, where my other superdutys have had many, many transmissions replaced (I broke 2 suncoast billet shafts, 4 sprags in factory techs, and a converter in an ats, and COUNTLESS factory ford transmissions)
