This AM I started and drove about 3 miles and suddenly the check engine lite came on and the engine power dropped to the point that the truck could hardly move itself. I limped it home and parked it.
Looked under the hood for loose or unplugged wiring but found none.
Where do I start looking to cure this problem? Thanks, Dave
If you have a SES or CEL it means you have a stored code. Get the codes read and you will know where to look. The UVC would be a good guess but it could also be several things. If you live near me I can scan them for you.

Top inside center of the vavle covers,you will see a connector that runs into the valve cover.Make sure they are in all the way,jiggle them around alittle and start the truck see if it clears up.That connector is part of the vavle cover gasket FYI.
Checked the code. Fuel injection - I checked the plugs and both were tight and all the way in. I unplugged the passenger side and it run the same. Unplugged the drivers side and it would not start. Passenger side must be bad - heading to get one at Ford. I'll let you know if thats the fix. Thanks, Dave
Pulled the passenger valve cover and found that the plug to the injectors & glow plugs had come loose. Replaced the valve cover gasket anyway while I had it appart. The truck has 140,000 miles on it and have been told that the connection between the plugs in the head gasket burn out. The plug seems to fit tighter. Hope it does not come loose again. PROBLEM FIXED!!!! Thanks for all the help!!!
