Normal oil pressure??

Who knows what is normal oil pressure for a 7.3L? I installed an oil pressure gauge yesterday and I get...

22 psi @ hot idle
55 psi @ hot 2000 RPM
85 psi @ cold idle

Thanks,
-john

Re: Normal oil pressure??

You have GOOD oil pressure

Service CD says 10 psi at curb idle and 40-70 psi at 3300 rpm.

Re: Normal oil pressure??

Yep, that O.P. sounds great. I get 55 at cold start, 30 at hot idle, and 55 at operating temp @ 2200rpm.

Re: Normal oil pressure??

I put mine in the manifold on the oil filter housing. There's a 1/8 NPT plug there. Just remove it and install your sender.
