My engine oil drain plug has a very small drip, about 1/2 a teaspoon a day when sitting parked.
I have replaced the copper washer and have tighten the plug to where I don't dare going any further.
This copper washer I bought from Ford; however I am not impressed.
My Ranger has a washer with a built in o-ring, very nice.
Any suggestions on the fix?
Thank you.

Today I went to a equipment supply store and found aluminum crush washers with an o-ring built into the washer.
Hopefully this will give a good seal.

If you get the one without the nipple on it, probably no more than an inch. more like 3/4". I'd measure it for you, but it's on my dad's truck which is in Kentucky. I'm in Illinois.
