I found quite a bit of info starting with Dieselsite on the "non-serviceable" plug, as well as some other reference material on the HPOP on this site and others. I was ready to tackle HPOP removal. Found my leak is with the other plug. Went to the nearest dealer who had the o-ring kit and will tackle tomorrow.
Mine was not the HPOP. I put new seals in. It still leaks. I washed it and am driving it today to see if I can find the leak. I'm thinking turbo. Any suggestions on where to get the seals for the turbo?
I can not find the stupid leak. The pedestal does not appear to be leaking. None of the oil lines or plugs appear to be leaking. I don't have the pool of oil in the valley since I cleaned it all up, but I'm pretty sure it is still leaking. I'm driving it for a few days to see what happens. If its still dripping by the weekend, I'm going to pull the turbo and have a look at everything. Its driving me crazy. From the top, I can not find a leak so I'm leaving cardboard under it at night to see if it is dripping still. I ordered the turbo kit so I would have it this weekend either way, I'm just not sure I do.
From the passenger side look behind the turbo, the EBPV can leak out of the actuator rod opening. Depending on the temps and your location the valve may only seep until it cycles. Also the HPOP can create up to 3,000 psi at hard throttle, so you may have to work the truck a bit to get the pressure up to allow the leak to show up.

its your turbo or pedistel o rings. If they leak into the topsid od the motor it drains through a little hole down the back of the motor. It makes it apear like you have a main seal bad. check out this web site its been a lot of help to me.POWERSTROKEHELP.COM - The Information Source for Ford Power Stroke Diesel Owners
Or.......you fixed the leak with the HPOP and now you're just getting residule oil that still has to drip out.

Good point, drop the cover for the TC, soak it down with cleaner and rinse. Mine dripped fluid for 6 months after an o-ring change, until I removed it and the oil soaked crud sitting there.

TC? Only thing I can think of it torque converter. This is a hand shaker..
I know its from the top of the engine, there was a pool there. It very well may be fixed. I have not seen a drop since I washed the valley out. Just seems like I had a lot of oil coming out after I changed the seals, before the wash. Thanks for all the info and site links. I have looked at most of them already. They were very helpful (as usual) in understanding where leaks could come from.
