Oil Pressure Sensor

While checking for a fuel leak I noticed a sensor that seamed affully wet. I think this sensor is a Oil sensor and is located at the front of the left (On top) cylinder head just to the left of the fuel filter. After un-plugging the sensor, I noticed that it was full of what looked to be oil. I am guessing that it has ruptured and is bad. Can someone please let me know if this is in fact an oil pressure sensor. Should it have oil inside the connection and if these can be purchased over the counter at any parts store. Thanks!

This also could be a fuel pressure sensor!

If you're talking about the one just behind the alternator, that's your ICP (Injection Control Pressure) sensor that tells the PCM what the High Pressure oil gallery pressure is. If it's got oill in the connector, it's most likely bad and should be replaced.

They come up on eBay on occaision for less.

It senses the oil pressure in the heads. That high pressure oil is what drives the injectors (they're individual hydraulic pumps). The signal from the ICP sensor goes to the PCM, which uses it to send a control signal to the IPR (Injection Pressure Regulator) to regulate the pressure of the HP oil for various running conditions.
