PCM Code How to tell witch one?

I recently bought an 02 X. The sticker on the door is gone and it was chipped why i bought it so the door on the pcm is gone as well. Can it be scan to find out the code? I also bought an edge evo for it because the chip and the "pats" were at odd's when i got it. Any help?

My sticker wasn't on the "door" on the PCM. Mine was on the pin-out harness at the other end-the part that goes through the firewall. He's right that it will most likely be the VDH series.

Re: PCM Code How to tell witch one?

2002 Excursion will most likely be a NQW?. There is 1 code of a MAP0. Or it will be a DPC-492 code. I would take a look and check it.

Yes. That's the only sure-fire way to determine the PCM code. The number on the door or on the PCM itself may be invalid because the PCM has been flashed with a new code.

With a good scanner/tester, you can see the current PCM part number. Then any decent translation table will convert that part number to the PCM code. We have a translation table in the '94-'97 FAQ. Click here.
