Please Help!! HydroLock Problem

I decided to change my #8 injector recently on my 03 7.3 F250. Well everything went great until i forgot to get teh oil and gas out of the cylinder after I Installed the new injector. The engine did a real quick crank and stopped. let it sit did the same thing. Let it sit then it just kept cranking. Finally go tthe engine running with loads of white smoke and fuel dumping out the exhaust. Now I have a louder knocking then before. Turned the engine off and I now have a the one side torn apart. Heads look good valves look good and pistons are all coming up even and seem to sit perfectly. Question now is can I see a bent connecting rod with the naked eye or bent valve??or do i need a dial indicated to measure it?? Could the injector failed again and that is the only thing wrong?? Can i cahge the #8 piston with the engine still in the truck by only dropping the oil pan??

You guys are great at answering these questions and I hope someone can help me out. Its my only vehicle and I need it back for work and such. Thanks in advance

theres a chance you bent a rod, but id bet more on a collapsed ring land-Do a compression test, thats a good way to tell whats wrong (compression and leakdown)

Not good. Had you stopped the first time you hit resistance, it would likely have been okay-the fact that you got it running with all that crap in the engine very likely could cause serious damage.

HOWEVER

I had a displaced copper washer on one of my injectors-it caused ALL the fuel to dump in the cylinder on every stroke-I drove home, changed the injector and all was fine.

Well checked with a bunch of different mechanics, injector specialist and so on and I received a different answer from just about everyone of them. Most say that the tapping and all the I was hearing was normal. That i should of let it run for about a half an hour and then take it on a 15-20 mile drive to get all the air out and oil through everyhting. So now I am going to put it all back together and give it a try. My next question is should I use the new injector I had in there when all this happened or use the old one and see if it works then replace it again?? Again thanks in advance for any input.
