Please read and give me your 0.2..

Seeking tips:
01 F-350...37K
Truck stalls when leaving a red light(s), and during speed up -like a BUMP in the road...a true problem.
Problem is getting progressively worse.

After reading the threads..I suspect the CPS is failing?
Can the CPS set a SES light?

I have not had the light diagnosed.

thanks,
dan

Re: Please read and give me your 0.2..

Could be also the pedal assembly, but I would first replace the CPS.

Re: Please read and give me your 0.2..

There have been a few CPS's that threw a light when they went.

Re: Please read and give me your 0.2..

you can always still go to the dealer but if you're over the 5 year mark, no matter what your milage is, you're out of warrenty and you will pay whatever they decide to charge.

Re: Please read and give me your 0.2..

Had mine replaced, before I knew about this site , but mine just quit on me, had some cops push me off of the road.

Charged me about 400 bucks, after reading here about it, I never went back to that shop again.

You have got to be kidding me. That is crazy. Those guys must be rolling in the money after that. If they got the part at cost then it only cost them like $100 to replace it, but charged you $400. WOW

Re: Please read and give me your 0.2..

Yeah, I was pretty PO'd after reading here.

Invoice showed about 200 bucks for the part, which I now know is BS, then the labor, which I now know is also BS.

They'll get no more money from me.

Like they say, screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me.

Unfortunately, it's looking like I picked another bad one with my HPOP leak, they don't fix it again for free, I'll fumble my way through it myself.

Re: Please read and give me your 0.2..

Guys-
How can we 'backyard' trouble shoot the pedal assy to determine it too has a problem?
What goes bad on the pedals???
