rear axle ratio

How is it that you tell the gear ratio from the sticker inside the door jam on a 99 super duty?
Thanks in advance!!

Kanman's way is the official way.

But if it's on topic in this forum, there's an easier way. If it's a '99-up SuperDuty pickup with single rear wheels (SRW) and diesel engine, then it has a 3.73 rear axle ratio.

Re: rear axle ratio

My axle code is F2. I believe that is a limited slip 4.10. Does anyone know for sure what F2 is?

Here's the code from the 99 service manual

F2 — 4.10 limited slip, F-350, dual rear wheels

Re: rear axle ratio

Mine says E2 but is is not a chassis cab truck with the narrow axle. It is just a 350 DRW with a pickup bed. Wonder what that means? I have double and triple checked it too.
