Rough running when cold - HELP with some codes????

Just bought a 2002 E-550 and I pulled the following codes- P0113, P0475, P0541, P1316. The engine has a miss when it is cold but seems to get better once it's warmed up. Also, fuel milage is REALLY bad probably 7-8 MPG. Any ideas what I should be looking at? Could this be as simple as a loose connector on the wire harness? Since this thing is no longer under warranty 116K miles I would like to try some things myself before taking it to the local Ford dealer.

P0113 - Intake air temp. sensor circuit high input
Open circuit, biased sensor, PCM, short to 5v

P0475 - Exhaust pressure control valve malfunction
Open/grounded ckt., solenoid open/shorted, failed PCM

P0541 - Manifold intake air heater
Open/short circuit

These point to a wiring short or something similar. The P0475 may mean your EBV is being held shut if the solenoid is shorted. Check your engine wiring harness. Also where the main connector runs across the driver's side valve cover for worn insulation.

And the big one

P1316 - Injector circuit/IDM codes detected
Injector circuit failure/IDM codes detected

This means you may have a loose UVC harness. If you get a scanner that can pull the codes from the IDM, it will tell you which side to look at. You'll probably find a code in the P1271-P1278 range with the last digit indicating the problem cylinder #.

Could also be from the insulation being worn off at the valve cover as above. The injector circuits are on the bottom of that harness.

Pay yourself to look for this kind of stuff rather than the dealer. It eats up lots of time ($$ at the dealer).
