"SES" LIGHT ON AND RPMS DROP TO 1000 RPM. THEN NO POWER

hI, EVERYBODY I have a 1999 f350 diesel and this is the second time that while driving my truck the rpms drop to 1000 rpm and the service engine soon light come on. I pushed to the floor ( gas pedal) and nothing. If I turn off the engine and re started it runs normally. What can cause it?

Everything was fine after you started back up? TPS is my first guess

Without getting the codes read on the truck, you're throwing knives in the dark trying to figure it out.

yes, everything was fine. I don't know if it has something to do but it happened when I was finishing plowing the truck was running for more than 6 hrs straight. Does it helps?
TPS = temperature sensor?

Sounds like one of many sensors could be starting to fail. Like Reef said, shot in the dark. If you want to start without scanning your truck, start by checking all electrical connections, including the wires for chaffing. My truck went into "limp mode" on me a couple of times, right before it started just shutting off and not restarting until it cooled. My problem ended up being the IPR solenoid shorting out.

Where can i get a TPS for my 1999 f350. Ford dealer want to sell me the whole pedal $335. I bought a TPS but doesn't work
