Testing IDM and IPR

I've got a crank but no start condition that's not the CPS - Looking for a way to test / verify the IDM is good and also test the IPR.

I've got the AutoEngunity code scanner program coming (did I need the Ford extended piece??) I'm assuming that will show the pressure from the sensor on the head and if it's over 500 PSI that will clear the IP regulator? But what can I do to test the IDM? Is there something the scan tool will tell me if the IDM is good or bad?

In reading the symptoms the IDM usually fails on 1 bank of cylinders - mine is totally dead.

injector BUZZ test will tell u if the idm is working or not.

I'm assuming that's an option within the AutoEnginuity application to set the PCM into this test?

you will need the extended Ford add-on set.

F-350 08 XLT, Job 3, 5/22/08 build, Auto, CC Long Bed, 3.73's. Dark Stone Exterior, Medium Stone Interior. Line-X, Buckstop winch bumper, Snug Super Sport Canopy. 2 German Shorthaired Pointers riding shotgun.

I have one that's dead on both banks, so it's not unheard of.

Like the other poster said, you'll need the Ford Enhanced package on AutoEnginuity to do the Injector Buzz test. A phonecall to Jay would get the add-on and the activation code for the enhanced setup. It may give you the P1316 code without the enhanced set, but not sure. P1316 just means you have codes stored in the IDM, but you need to do an on-demand test (like injector buzz) to get the codes out of it.
