I've had my 1999 for about six years. It has a monsterbox tranny with a BD torqloc that has been fine until the other day. Suddenly, the torque convertor won't lock up. I removed the torqloc and reconnected the wires that control the convertor lock up and still nothing. The PCM must be throwing a code cause now the OD light is blinking. Any ideas? Everything else works fine and shifts fine.
My exhaust brake is not connected to the Torqloc. I'm going to pull the codes and check the converter by manually grounding the lockup wire and see where I am.
My 99 F250 4R100 4x4 torque converter suddenly is failing to lock. I checked the brakes light bulbs, all are okay. I pulled two codes off the truck, P0743 Torque Converter Clutch soleniod circuit electrical and P0741, Torque Converter Clutch solenoid circuit performance or stuck off. Also, no engagement when I ground out the TCC wire. Any suggestions before I open the bottom up? It's looking like the TCC solenoid to me.
It's either the solenoid or the wiring to the solenoid. Those codes don't isolate the problem to either one, you'll need to do some electrical continuity testing to know what to replace.

While the third brake light was out, I still have no lock up. No lock up when ground out TCC control wire. I pulled two codes off the truck, P0743 Torque Converter Clutch soleniod circuit electrical and P0741, Torque Converter Clutch solenoid circuit performance or stuck off.
