tranny dipstick spewing

So I pull my 99 f250 out and tranny fluid starts spewing from the top of the tube. It's been sitting for a few weeks.

The torque converter may have drained back into the pan. That will make the pan overfilled. The rotating parts will whip that into a foam and force it out the vent and the dipstick tube. Once the engine runs for a minute or two the torque converter will refill, the level will go down, and it should be fine.

A friend of mine is a 'snow-bird', and leaves his Explorer sit in his garage in NC for six months.....Well, this year, upon arrival, his tranny torque converter had drained, and when he started it up, it didn't work....Had it towed to the Ford dealer in Waynesville, and they happly told him NOT to let it sit for so long, and they would have to replace his torque converter.....They 'implied' that was a problem with Ford's....

I've heard this torque converter a few times now. I also heard a possible vent problem. It still seems to move fine. I'll tear into it in a few.
