Tranny Troubles
Well it begins. 165k miles on the truck. When you shift the truck from drive to reverse (as in backing into a parking space) the truck is slow to shift and it feels like the torque converter is locked. This causes the truck to jump like you let out the clutch too fast (it is an automatic) and sometimes it will choke down. If it doesn't choke down you can feel it release and then everything is fine until the next time. The transmission has had the fluid changed every 30k miles like clockwork (it is getting close to time to change again). External filter that is changed every 10k miles. Fluid is still nice and bright red. The transmission has never been overheated. It did burp 1 time a couple of months ago, after backing the travel trailer up a hill. No codes at all and the overdrive light hasn't been flashing. I have a torque converter lockup switch and a light on the switch that shows it locking and unlocking like it should while in drive. The light has never come on when this is happening in reverse.
Any and all help and advice y'all can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Joe
