Transmission Died

OK so my transmission appears to have failed. TC won't lock up and when it is in Drive and I get to the shift point for 2/3 it's like I hit the brakes. I can go if I keep it in second, but the TC still won't lock. I have it sitting at the moment, but am looking for a good place to either get a high perfromance Trans installed in the Fort Worth/Dallas area, or somebody who can install me a BTS if I can get one. Any help is greatly appreciated. A little more info - the Beast now has 98800 miles. I have noticed a little rattling from what I think is the TC in the past 2/3 weeks. This last week the Trans temp has been about 5/10 deg above what I would have expected as normal for current driving/atmos conditions. Again, any help is greatly appreciated. Thx

Re: Transmission Died

Before you get out the checkbook for 4 grand try replacing your coolant filter and top off ATF. The filter may be clogged. And maybe just a T/C. If you put the ATF filter BEFORE your ATF cooler you just saved the cooler if your tranny has bit the big one.
Good luck!

Try Suncoast Transmission. They usually have rebuilt units in stock for exchange and same day shipping with credit card. Good warranty. I've had great luck with mine. I don't sell anything but I did my homework to make my choice.
