Transmission problem

A friend was out 4 wheeling, got stuck and had to really get on it to get out. Now the truck will not shift into 3rd gear. The codes it threw were P0603, P0470, and P1728 and the OD light was blinking. After reading the codes and clearing them, we drove it around the block and the OD light didn't blink, but it threw the P0470 again. It is a 97 PSD with auto trans.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

The 603 is a kam error, probably just something glitched when testing. The 1728 is a transmission slip code... The 0470 I cant seem to convert for the 97. The 1728 leads me to believe that you definitely put some strain on trans. You need to check your fluid and make sure you haven't burnt it. I would change your fluid and filter and make sure you drain your torque converter and change it also. Like stated I couldn't cross the 470 so I don't know what that is but, if fluid and filter fix it you'll be lucky...
