truck completely dying after installing dp-tuner

earlier today I was installing my dp tuner and had to take out the pcm. but first had to unbolt the wiring harness from under the hood. at first I started taking out the 10mm bolt in the harness next to the one for the pcm then I realized it was the wrong one. after doing everything for the chip/pcm...I tried to start the truck. it started but then it would not shift out of park. I then re-tightened the bolt I had first loosened because I forgot to and then it ran and everything. but two times today, the truck had just stalled and other times itstarted sputtering and all the dash lights would come on and then itd be normal again. but when it stalled, there was no wts light or anything but the check engine light was on. so I went under the hood, moved that whole harness around and the wts light came on and it started right up. I don't want to be driving somewhere far or on the highway, stall and have to get out and move the harness around to have it start again. any ideas on what this could be? the harness I wasn't supposto touch was the one directly underneath the master cylinder. it has two 10mm bolts in it. both the bolts are tight now and it just did it on the way home. it almost sounded like it ran out of fuel when it stalled the last time and all the lights were on...including the wts light... and it wouldn't start. it would just crank over. so I went and moved the wire around and it fired right up. so I figured theres gotta be something that's not right...

Perhaps your thread should be 'truck completely dying after I messed with the wrong plug'.

I would remove the plug entirely and see if some of the pins have been pushed back into the plug. this would give you intermittent connections. After getting the pins all level inside the plug, reinstall and push the individual wires you found out of place back into the plug as best you can, then tighten it all up and x your fingers.
At least you know where the problem is.

Also make sure you cleaned the contacts properly on the PCM where the tuner is attached. Something else to think about is when you slid the PCM into the plastic support the wires may have pulled the chip partially off the contacts. Pull the chip out and see if the truck runs "normal" then you can re-iinstall the chip. I cut a large portion out of the plastic cage to allow plenty of room for the wires on my F-6. It seemed to me, it was just to tight when sliding it in.

well, I know I installed it properly. the first time it didn't seem to work so I pulled everything apart and cleaned the contacts with 600grit sandpaper which made them show little copper but no silicone left at all. I also cut out the plastic on the mount for the pcm. I didn't like how tight it was with the cord in there either so I thought itd be best to cut out plastic.
