I have an 01 7.3 and when I started it during the summer it got up and ran since it has gotten colder the tuck would start and id let it warm up and it stall and then it take alot to start it back up. I tried pluging it in and then it didnt stall but it bogs untill the truck is completly warmed. Since then I changed the fuel filter and put anti gel in. Any Ideas whats causing this?
What part of the country are you in. Makes a difference if you are on my end with 80° winters or on Kevin's end with -80° temps (and two hours of sunlight per day...)
What type of oil are you running? Do you have any gauges or access to a scanner?
I live in pa and the weather has been in the 50's ... I notice that my oil pressure is a little high also if I plug it in the truck starts right up won't shut off but will not run right till it gets warm where as if I don't plug it in it will start but stall out then is a bastard to start and won't stay running... I have a bully dog gt tuner with codes p0238 p1249 p1212 p1211
P0238 Turbo Boost Sensor A Circuit High Input
P1249 Wastegate Fail Steady State Test
P1211 ICP Not Ctrllable - Pressure Above/Desired
P1212 ICP Voltage Not at Expected Level
All of those codes can originate from a canned tune. How are you measuring oil pressure - what values are you getting that lead you to believe they are a little high?
I wouldn't get too distracted from the basics - start by checking your glow plugs and GPR.

I checked the relay multiple times and got 10.98 and 11 and I checked the the glow plugs and got .8 or higher on all them .... Thinkin it might be the thermostat ?
