truck starts and immediatly dies

I have a 01 crew cab 7.3 and ever once and a while I go to start the truck and it will start and immediatly die, I go to start it again and start right up? any solution?

I would say its probally a CPS starting to fail. My truck did that for about 2 months before it got to the point where it would only run for about 20 mins and then have to sit for 30 mins to restart for 10 again. Replaced the CPS and no more problems.

I agree sounds like the CPS. Mine just failed again for the second time. These things are tough to get to but easy to change. I have the dual alternator so it is a little tough to get to.
