I thought about that too, so I unplugged the f5 switch and I could still get it to quit. As of late, everything is put back together (chip installed and plugged in) and tested. Put it on #5 and can't get it to stall. It looks like I am going to have to get a BCAA membership to tow it back to my shop when it quits and order the Autoenginuity pc scan tool and do some data logging to see where the fault is when it dies.

Update - Truck up and quit

Been driving it now for 4 days. It runs fine:shrug03. I changed the oil and fuel filter.

Prior to that, I was getting the romps fairly bad. Now that I've had the IPRd out to check the o-rings and replaced, the romps are gone.

Anyway, I've ordered AE and it should be here next week and waiting to see if any more codes are there and do some data logging.

I also had to change the clutch fan. It was wobbling pretty bad. Maybe that's why it got so hot on the hills and I didn't hear the 747 take off.

Just a thought - in need of an oil change, towing in the mountains, water temps in the red creating excessive oil temps leading to high pressure oil problems????
