Do a check of the fluids to make sure they look somewhat fresh. The engine oil will most likely be black as the soot turns it pretty quick. The trans if its an auto should have red fluid that doesnt smell burnt. Look at the engine to make sure the top area is not caked in oil residue. Some residue on the intercooler boots is common but just take a good look for standing oil and chaffed or damaged wires. Other things to check are wheel bearings. Jack up the front end and try to rock the tires in and out. Everything else is pretty much the same as any other rig.
