Hi fellas, was wondering what the main differance is between using a line pressure raising device like BD pressureloc or Banks trans command vs. doing a sonnax tri kit or valvebody upgrade. Do some people use both together? Both seem to cost in the $250 range, what do yall recommend for trans life and performance? Thanks, Curtis
raising pressure is not the best way to do it. For the money a fully modded vb is the only way to go. The spring kit and line mod valve is a good thing, but youre not getting the benifit from the oil re-routing and other benefits a vb will offer. A pre modded accumulator (vb everyone calls it) is just an unblot and bolt back in deal, no finiky springs or anything to deal with. Bts, FTVB, and a few others are the best going.
So is a valve body a shift kit such as a Transgo? What is the difference with pump mods etc. I don't understand the difference. Can someone educate me please? Thanks
Pump mods are modifications to the front pump to improve pressure and flow. The transgo kit modifies the valve body, but it isn't the same as buying a modified valve body. The pros have tools, parts, and tricks that don't come with the transgo kit.

When you get one from BTS or FTVB do you get an accumulator or a valve body?
