warranty coverage

OK my 02 F350 is all stoke so I'm not worried about being deined coverage. My truck has a little over 95k miles and the rear main seal is leaking and I want to get it changed before the big 100k rolls around. The deals says no problem but it'll be a $100 deductable to fix. When the truck is in 4wd there is a odd sound from the transfer case but the deal says its covered. Is this true? Thanks

Steven

Re: warranty coverage

Everything is right with the $100 deductable. The T-Case isn't covered under the engine warranty. But, your dealer is telling you that the T case is covered under the 5yr/100k warranty?? Hmmmm If so I would get that in writing first before any work starts, then let them fix it. Doing this will back you up in case they get everything pulled apart and tell you its not under warranty... Just my $0.02

That sounds right. Assuming you mean the rear main seal on the crankshaft.

Nope.

Only the engine is covered for 100k miles. The xfer case is not part of the engine.
