What is the best scan tool for our trucks, im looking for the one that can tell the hpop pressure, and other vidal dianostic features.

I use autoenginuity and it will show the HPOP pressure and a lot more it will also run all the test the the dealers do like the injector buzz test hope this helps

I also use autoenginuity just got it about a month ago. Got the ford package. I think the total was about 379.00 I have 4 fords and 3 are diesels so I figured it was one trip to the stealership. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

I would also recomend geting a service manual that has all the recomend voltages of the sensors.

The PDS is the Bad Ass tool at the moment in the Ford line up just ask any of the MoFoCo techs here that have used it.

Both of these scanners will Rock & Roll compared to any aftermarket scanner.

Now if you only care to see trouble codes and some data you can save $$$$$ with the aftermarket scanners.

Autoenginuity? not a bad unit, but not even in the same league with the factory stuff.

But again, you did say best.

Best?? I've been using the Snap-On Modis and it's been working very well.

[/ QUOTE ] Then I wonder why FORD has let JAY at AE have all the info on the new PSD for '07 so he can have his system ready to go with the new motor? Sounds like FMC is backing him in some way,,or encouraging him.
Have you used AE? Not being a smart ass,,,but it is KIND of hard to imagine anything doing much more than AE does [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]
I have AE too,,,so far I am very pleased with it,,customer service is beyond reproach! Jay is awesome. I have talked to him several times one on one with a problem. (This is relatively new software and he is always looking for improvements,,,and input.)If you have a problem,,and you may,,,he will be there for you!

Autoenginuity is a very good unit for the money. Probably bang for your buck right at the top of the list.

The Snappy Modis is very nice unit combined with the lab scope and all I would agree works very well. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I use www.obd-2.com software. Tri-com setup. $182 and I have used it on my Ford PSD as well as almost every other make and model car/truck. Great scan tool for the price. Especially if you intend on hooking up to multiple brands and model vehicles.

If you download the free software I can send you some parameter files from my 99' PSD you can view and get an idea of how it works and what parameters it will show.
