great truck that has been threw hell, been borrowed by everybody, been used by mostly oilfield work, pulling trailers, backhoes, fifthers, pipe trailers, and hauling ass like a bat out of hell to the rigs.

early 99 F350 4x4, 4 door, long bed, 7.3L Auto Tranny, XLT, straight exhaust (no cat or muffler), superchip tunner put on at 123K and amsoil bypass at 186K, now has 251K.

161k Miles and average 17.6-19.1 mpg
3 heater cores
front brake rotors and pads
rear pads
waterpump on condition not failure
new batteries on 10/06
torque converter 10/04 because this is an early 99 and it was rattling
CPS recall by Ford

The most reliable vehicle I have ever owned, nothing has broken, uses no oil between changes, reasonable fuel mileage, 90K miles out of Firestone 275/65/16 tires.
Awesome vehicle...

140,000 Miles

Under Warranty (extended):
43K Left front hub/bearing assembly
56K Alternator
58K Right front hub/bearing assembly; Left hub seal
75K Clutch master/slave cylinders
89K HPOP leak (not sure if it was o-rings or something else), 2 of 4 ball joints (warranty only covered the 2)

After Warranty:
105K 2nd Alternator and batteries
117K Parking brake cable
119K Clutch - due to failed pilot bearing, not clutch but decided to do it all after pulling transmission
124K CPS
139K Cracked injector cup - While in there, decided to replaced glow plugs and UVC harness. Also required all new coolant/heater hoses, thermostat/gasket, and injector o-rings. HPOP leaking again - new hose adapters.

After 3 sets of front rotors, decided to try Powerslots. Hoping they last longer, but only have 2k on them so far.

All other routine maintenance (oil, filters, lube, brakes, coolant, other required fluid changes)

224k towing heavy

tranny
3 alternators
radiator
water pump
overflow bottle
hpop
ebv seals
injectors
in the shop now for headgaskets

I shoud have put studs in the heads. I thought with my mild mods I would be ok. I guess towing heavy all the time like I do stretched the head bolts.

98K.

Bad airbox, bad CCV, bad oil pump, bad trans, see sig for all the bad items.

Seriously, I have replaced all the fluids and trans and CPS and turbo pedestal. The rest of the parts just went "bad" on their own. In fact, when I get a little more cash, my injectors will coincidently go bad too and probably need AC single shots.

105,000 bought it at 97

Since owning I have done Ball joints and bearings (only one side needed it, but I did both)

Just did front brakes (pads/rotors/calipers/lines)

And I had to put a tranny in it

Previous owner did CPS, new tires and had the one side ball joints done (susposedly)

It also needs a new bumper and fog lights, thanks to a suicidal deer two weeks ago
