Where to buy new engine????

Apparently I fried Cyl#5 and my oil is full of fuel, and there is fuel puking out at the exhaust manifold. It's missing terrible and the thinned out oil blew the seals in the turbo pedestal.

I was hoping maybe a head gasket, but the shop says I need a new motor. It made it just over 200K Miles.

Where is a trusted place to get a motor...? What should I be sure it has done...?? like rods...? etc

Try South Houston Engine Services or Ebay has quite a few listings.

South Houston Engine Service is where one of you countrymen got one. He got a long block IIRC for about $5000 with forged steel rods and headstuds. David Lott of Diesel Innovations uses them for his blocks. Give Dave a call and see what he can do for you.

Haulin is right. It seems Dave sells the short or long block, and it's a nice motor. IIRC the Price is right too.
