Will an E4OD from 96 work in a 99 Super Duty?

99 & up 7.3L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 99 & up 7.3L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 1999-Up Super Duty trucks and Excursions. No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. Please confine discussion of topics in this forum to those items that are specific to the 7.3L Power Stroke engine.

Will an E4OD from a 96 F350 work in a 99 Super Duty? I know that the E4OD is not the same as the 4R100. I guess the wireing is different. Can I use the E4OD and use my 99 wire harness? __________________ 06/F350/6.0L/CC/4x4/LWB/AT/SCT XCAL2 My Old 96 Truck

The PCM needs inputs from the turbine speed sensor and the output speed sensor to be able to control the transmission.
