work truck dead in driveway

First of all, I love this site. Its been imensly helpful on other troubles I've had in the past with my truck and kept me running strong.

The other morning I started the truck, let it warm up for about 10 minutes as usual, but when I went to leave I'd have a hard time getting above 10mph. Very sluggish, almost unresponsive. I got about a mile from home and headedn back & parked it in the driveway. Next day I started it again, and the idle was verry uneven, like it had a miss, along with copious amounts of smoke, white smoke, lots of white smoke. It looked like I was trying to fumigate the neighborhood for mosquitos.

I ordered AE from TPI and just got it today, not fully sure how to use it yet, but at least its hooked up. Shows no codes, but also shows no tests in the onboard test drop down menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You have to be sure you select "Powerstroke" in the vehicle setup.

I assume you got the Ford Enhanced package and activated it. (I believe you have to send an e-mail to AutoEnginuity, and input the numbers they e-mail back to you).

Your problem sounds like a fuel starvation issue. Check to make sure you can get a good stream out of the filter drain when you turn the key to on to activate the fuel pump. You should hear the pump (located along the frame rail under the driver's seat) running for about 20 sec when you first turn the key on.

I got AE up & running properly, it didn't take the first couple times I entered my numbers to activate the ford bundle.
I can hear the pump running when I activate the key, I'll look for fuel stream tomorrow. I just did LOF less than 1000 miles ago.

I guess I can't be too upset, its got 240k on it & this is the first time its let me down. It got me to Alaska and back a couple months ago. So at least it had the respect to do it to me in the driveway. Otherwise that would have been a hell of a towing bill.

ok, had some time to look at it again.
open fuel valve by fuel filter, key on and fuel flows.
I was removing the Edge programmer, and planning on running some KOEO tests with the AE and I noticed the plug for the icp sensor was pretty wet with oil. I let the truck runfor a few to try to get it up to temp, the white smoke eventually died out and then the truck stalled. Wouldn't restart until it was cold again and back with the white smoke.
Would the failed icp sensor have anthing to do with this?
Thanks again

What does the smoke smell like? Sweet or make your eyes water?

update- truck running

Ok, so I know its been a while, but I always hate it when I don't know if/how someone get their truck back on the road. I set the truck aside to work on other things and just drive a spare rig for a while. I had some time off so I figured it was time to get it going or set it on fire.
from the sounds of things when it was running, a faulty injector was my suspect. I ordered the injector rebuild kit from DIY injectors. I couldn't see spending a ton of money on a former highway work truck with 250k on the odometer. While I had things apart I swapped out the glow plugs and under valve cover harnesses. I t took me 2 days, but the instructions and contents of the rebuild kit were great. I put it all back to gether, charged up the batterys and after a couple cranks it started right up and purrs like a kitten.
Thanks for all the advise
