best bet is to have the chip burnt to the injectors now. My 275's do the same but the chip is still for the 160 stage ones. My guess would be the icp needs to be dropped a bit at idle.

You need to get reprogrammed for single shot injectors. Your stock injectors are split shot and your pcm is trying to get the injector to do something it is not capable of, which is shoot a pilot shot which helps smooth out and quiet down idle.

The PCM has nothing to do with there being a pilot shot. The split shot results when an annular ring in the piston no longer seals and there is a brief interruption in injection. The timing will be different however.

My bad. But why can it be such a pain in the butt to get some trucks to idle right after they go to singles if it is simple timing that needs to be adjusted?

Getting the idle right is the first thing Jody does during live tuning. Depends on the injectors and nozzles. Too big a nozzle and it can be very difficult to get the idle right. I think EH nozzles may be harder than EDM but that is just my WAG. When I got my single shot injectors, Jody mistakenly programmed the chip for splits. It was very hard to keep the idle up, felt like it was going to die all the time and I had to keep my foot on the throttle to keep her going. The injectors were VERY smoky with split shot programming as well.
