3.5 or 4 inch Down Pipe?

I was all ready to go with a 3.5 DP with a 4" exhaust, but am now having second thoughts. Wife and I like out west and plan to be driving/pulling the rig in my sig below through mountains, including to Alaska in the next 2 years.

Originally I was going to go with the 3.5" DP based on what I've read about keeping torque on the low end and less installation problems. But now I'm wondering if a 4" DP will make a big enough difference in EGTs when climbing the grades to make it a good trade-off.

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom. -Greg

Did you DIY install - if so did you have any problems fitting the 4" DP? Thanks.

Actually no. This site bags on Banks but their quality is outstanding. We were 2 hours from plugging in the sawzall on the original to driving. The downpipe fits perfectly. Don't get me wrong, it is tight, but the bends are perfect.
