4" turbo back install

Well I have the stock exhaust out and tomorrow morning I will be installing a motoblue 4" turbo back system. I noticed the down pipe does not like to go into place. Its a 1 piece so do I have to cut it to make it fit or drop the crossmember? Maybe Im not looking at it right. Does anyone have some words of wisdom before I tackle this tomorrow?

The stock downpipe is the one that you have to cut to get out. The new downpipe will fit right in, provided you have another set of hands to help you guide it in.

yea I had to cut the stock down pipe to get it out but the new one does not " fit right in". The down pipe will not fit the way it is, even with a set of hands which I had. I think I will have to bend the fire wall flange to make it fit. Its tight!

Yeah you shouldn't have to bend or modify anything to fit it. The only guys who have to bend the firewall are the OBS boys. Go in from underneath the truck. Lift the front of the truck off the ground if you need more room.

Well I made myself look like a jack a$$. I got it, just had to turn it backwards and grit my teeth and skwint my eyes a little more. Shes in there and sounds goooooood. Nice whistle from the turbo and all and all a strait forward install. I wish It was a little louder though but I may put a strait pipe in later. Now if I can get my TS performace chip to work right I will be in good shape.
