Which 4R100 rebuild kit?

My good ole 4R100 is finally starting to develop some slip. I'm good friends with a local trans shop and I know he's been through the 4R100s before. He told me to go ahead and pick out a kit and torque converter and he would put it in for me. If yall could give me some recommdations it would be much appreciated.

My truck only has some small mods, nothing extreme (see sig). And I am operating on a college student's budget. Please don't try to sell me a BTS, it simply isn't necessary for what I do. Plus there's no way I'm going to spend 4 grand on a trans, that's half the value of my truck.

So far the kits I've come across that seem to be good buys are the:

Suncoast

RacerX

As far a t-converters go I really have no clue. The one from Raptor seemed like a good value.

E4OD, 4R100 Transmission from PATC, E4OD, 4R100

Thanks

RacerX is the new kid on the block, but seems to know his stuff. Suncoast has been around forever and has a good rep.

The Suncoast kits will cost $495 for the basic clutch kit plus another $337 for the coast clutch kit for a total of $832 not counting the torque converter. Does it also include the valve body? Torque converters cost anywhere from $200 to $1,000, and I would go with a Precision Industries Stallion 13" PowerStroke converter at the high end of the price scale - because that's the one that is included in a BTS rebuild.
Precision Industries - Stallion Power

Do any of the above listed rebuild kit's also come with a new front pump? or the the soleniod pack that mounts on the valve body and a new transmission pan? Just a few of the things I know a good transmission rebuild needs.

New front pump - I can get a rebuilt one if need be.
Solenoid pack - I won't be replacing it unless I experience problems with it.
New pan - I think the original one is just fine, albeit a little dirty on the outside.

My trans still shifts nice and crisply, it's just I can feel a little slip when accelerating in OD.

What ever route you go, make sure you keep enough in your budget for a larger tranny cooler, or you'll be back in the same boat needing a rebuild in a short amount of time.

FINALLY! found a site listing the tools I need for 4R100 rebuild: E4OD, 4R100 Transmission from PATC, E4OD, 4R100 (near the bottom). Thanks for that.

Hit up powerstrokeconverters.com for a triple disc. Less than $600 shipped. Ask for your member discount. Great guy.

Other than increasing the clutch capacity, quality TC & larger cooler when rebuilding a trans yourself what other options are out there to improve the longevity...within reason of course?

Spiral snap ring for the OD piston (ive heard the transgo HD2 tugger kit has this included), increasing pump pressure, iirc you can also drill out the drain back in the front pump seal area to increase lube flow. Suncoast offers upgrade parts...i picked up an extreme kit and plan to pick up other parts to give my installer...

Anyone else use the suncoast rebuild kit and a TC from powerstrokeconverters? No real horsepower mods just pulling the race car in a 28' enclosed trailer.
