Okay, well I am going to take a chance and hope that my pipes are in good shape. I went to ford and got new gaskets for my up pipes. I can wiggle the left up pipe ever so slightly so I am assuming that is my "leaker". I started to tear into all this and mind you I am taking the turbo off for my first time...
Okay, it only takes me about 15 minutes to hit a brick wall. How are you guys (pc and gals) getting to the lower 2 nuts that hold the turbo onto the y pipe housing? I am using aero-croil on all the bolts and so far so good. I've never used PB blaster, but at work this stuff will get some of the most heated-on hardware out. I can't get a wratchet/wrench/socket on the nuts, and I can't get to the up-pipe bolts, and from reading, are you serious that you have to jack the cab? Is everyone using a universal comb-socket? With my single socket and universal, I can't seem to get into there. Well beings that today is a work day, and I brought my line tool box home from work(cant really ride the bike back in with an 80lb tool box on the back), I decided to to call it quits for today and regroup. Plus I hit my right NO SO FREGGIN funny bone on something and I'm still laughing!
Okay so any help? I am going to tackle the up pipes for sure this weekend, and would like to have some helpful pointers. Thanks and sorry for being long winded.
