AIH code

Howdy. I'm fixin'to remove the air intake heater from my '02 PSD and if that is done on an '02, my understanding is that it will set a code. Someone on this forum described in detail how to prevent this from happening by connecting a 470 ohm resistor into the wiring. I printed that and saved it for later (which is now) and now I can't find what I printed. Can't come up with any discussion of code prevention with a search. Can anyone out there help me? I'd sure appreciate it.

Re: AIH code

Thanks, guys. I'll disconnect it and see what happens. A code from a faulty AIH shouldn't make any operational difference anyhow.

Re: AIH code

You can get the AIH plug and P0541 Code eliminator from here

The code doesnot hurt anything, but will be set and stored in your PCM. Its just annoying, and if you are still within warranty you do not want to give them a reason to void it....
