Air dog 2 just installed and truck won't turn over

I just installed an air dog2 on my 2002 f-250. install went smooth but after priming the pump the motor wont turn over. any ideas? im racking my brain here and tried searching for other threads. any help would be greatly appreciated!

You didn't perchance take the engine mounted filter cartridge out?

Oops, just noticed the year and I know squat about 7.3's

Do you mean the engine will not spin or do you mean the engine will not fire/run?

There is a check valve in the center stem of the filter housing on a 7.3L, so if you leave the fuel filter out, no fuel gets to the engine.

After consulting a buddy we both went over everything and agreed install was correct. Turns out the air dog doesn't fill the water separator by priming. I filled the pre-filter before installing on the pump but not the water-separator. Since my dumb*** tried to start the truck so many times on top of leaving the door and hood open I needed to jump the truck. Once we got her started all was good
