For those of us running the 6637 in your humble opinion what would be the most cost effective better quality replacement?

westvandude -- humble opinion? You surely jest. I've got fairly strong convictions. That said, I hope I am respectful as well. I try to stay clear of too much opinion and let the facts speak for themselves. We've done fairly extensive testing, which is why we've derived the configurations we have. Quite simply, they work.

There seems to be a wave of "doing things cheaply" these days. Not to shy away from saving some coins, you still have to make sure what you are doing is achieving the goal you have set. Design parameters such as minimal radial clearance, engine vibration isolation, etc, etc, should never be compromised for something that might "look the same" or "be just as good as". Opinion stated as fact is still only conjecture. Fact stated in any form is still irrefutable.

I would put a value on any modification and pay little attention to overall cost until the final analysis. First and foremost, what you do should work. If it doesn’t, there is little true value no matter how much money you save.

I have several sayings. One of them is, “The remembrance of a dollar saved is long forgotten in the regret of poor value.”

I would highly recommend Dales filtration system. I am strongly considering going that route and dumping my AFE Stage 2. Great post Dale. Cant wait to get my BTS when i return later in Oct!
